Has he proven an 80 year old Math problem?

Fields medal winner Terence Tao from University of California, Los Angeles submitted paper to arXiv preprint server in claiming to prove an 80 year old Erdo’s discrepancy problem. This problem states that any string of numbers 1 and -1 can add to a very large value by counting only the numbers at a fixed interval for a finite number of steps.  Tao’s proof proved this conjecture right. This proof comes after years of attempts to solve the problem by hand or computer. Terence Tao was also the winner of the prestigious Fields medal in 2006. KNOW MORE
